Phrasal Verb

pick sth.<-->up - to get information or a skill by chance rather than making a deliberate effort ง่ายๆ เลย ก็คือ สามารถเข้าใจได้อย่างโดยไม่ต้องพยายาม ก็หมายถึงว่าเราอาจจะมีความสามารถทางด้านใดด้านหนึ่งทำให้เราสามารถเข้าใจได้ โดยไม่ต้องพยายามเลย
เช่น You picked up English easily. หรือ You picked English up easily. ก็แปลว่าคุณสามารถเข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษได้อย่างรวดเร็วโดยไม่ต้องพยายามเลย (อยากเป็นได้แบบนี้มั้งจัง)
put sth.<-->off - เลื่อนไป We've had to put off our wedding until September.

turn sth.<-->off - ปิด เช่น ปิดไฟ ปิดน้ำ ปิดแก๊ส โดยการหมุนสวิทชต์ ตัวอย่างประโยคเช่น I turned off the water. หรือว่าจะใช้ I turned the water off. ก็ได้
แต่ถ้าเราใช้ turn off กับ คน เช่น This song really turned me off จะแปลว่า เพลงนี้น่าเบื่อ ไม่น่าสนใจ

สำหรับคำในประเภทนี้เมื่อใช้ pronoun เป็นกรรม จะต้องใช้แบบแยก verb กับ preposition เสมอ เช่น
I turned if off.
I cut if off.
I pick it up easily.

จะใช้แบบ I pick off it.

ask sb. out - to invite someone to something, such as dinner or the theatre, for a romantic date. เช่น He felt nervous about asking her out.
stand sb. up - to deliverately not meet somebody you have arranged to meet, especially somebody you are having a romantic relationship with. เช่น I waited for her for half an hour before I realised she had stood me up.

ประเภทที่ 4: transitive verb เหมือนกันแ่ต่ว่า กรรมจะต้องอยู่ท้าย preposition เท่านั้นไม่ว่ากรรมนั้นจะเป็น noun หรือ pronoun

เช่น

keep off sth - to prevent sth. เช่น Keep off the grass. ก็แปลว่า ห้ามเหยียบ นะเอง
move on (to sth) - to start doing or discussing sth. new. ซึ่งปกติจะใช้ เป็น move on to sth เช่น Let's move on to next topic.

run out (of sth) แปลว่าหมด เช่น We run out of water.
stand for sth. - ทนกับ(บางสิ่งบางอย่าง) หรือ ยอมปล่อยให้เกิดขึ้น เช่น You're bully and I won't stand for it any longer!
stand for sth - ย่อมาจาก (เป็นอีกความหมายหนึ่ง) เช่น FAQ stands for 'Frequently Asked Questions'.
stand over so - stand very near someone and watch them very closely ไม่รู้จะแปลว่าภาษาไทยให้ง่ายได้ยังไงจริงๆ อ่านภาษาอังกฤษเอา แล้วน่าจะเห็นภาพมากกว่านะค่ะ อ่านแล้วนึกถึงเจ้านายเลยอ่ะ I feel very creepy every time my boss stand over me.
stand up to sb - เผชิญหน้ากับ(บางคน) เช่น He tried to stand up to his boss.
start off at sb (about sth) | start off (at sb) about sth - เริ่มที่จะบ่น เช่น She started on at me again about getting some new clothes.

think of sth - imagine an actual or a possible situation เช่น I'm thinking of leaving the company. (คิดจริงๆ นะเนี้ยะ เซ็งชีวิต)

work on - busy doing sth เช่น I'm working on new project. หรือ I'm working on it.

แต่ phrasal verb บางตัวสามารถเป็นได้มากกว่า 1/ ประเภท เช่น
phrase ที่เป็น intransitive ก็สามารถทำให้เป็น transitive ได้ แต่จะต้องมี preposition ต่อท้าย ก่อนหน้ากรรมที่จะมารับ
carry on สามารถใช้เป็น intransitive verb ก็ได้ แปลว่าทำที่ทำอยู่ต่อไป หรือ carry on with sth ก็ได้ คือให้ทำ sth ต่อไป เช่น Carry on with your job. ก็คือเป็นประเภทที่ 1 และ 3
run out นี่ก็เหมือนกันค่ะ เป็น intransitive verb ก็ได้ หรือว่าจะเป็น transitive แบบที่ต้องมีกรรมต่อท้าย ใช้เป็น run out of sth ก็ได้ เช่น The water ran out. หรือ We run out of water.
watch out นอกจากจะใ้ช้เป็นประโยคดุ้นๆ แล้ว ก็สามารถแปลว่า to make an effort to be aware of what is happening โดยใช้ watch out for เช่น The cashiers were asked to watch out for forged banknotes.

หรือบางคำที่เป็น transitive แต่เมื่อเป็น intransitive แล้วจะมีความหมายต่างออกไป
turn off สามารถใช้เป็น intransitive ได้เหมือนกัน จากการเปิด dict นะค่ะ แต่ไ่ม่ได้แปลว่าปิด แต่แปลว่า to stop listening to or thinking about หรือว่าเลิกสนใจ เช่น I couldn't understand the lecture so I just turned off.
pick up นี่ก็ใช้เป็น intrasitive ก็ได้เหมือนกัน แปลว่า to get better, stronger; to improve เช่น The wind is picking up now.

คำอื่นๆ ที่สามารถเป็นได้ทั้งสองหมดก็มีอีก แต่ได้รวบรวบไปลงในแต่ละหมวดไว้ให้เลยค่ะ
